Position Summary: We are looking for a motivated and environmentally conscious Entry-Level Sustainability Advocate to join our team. This role will support our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint, align with the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and navigate the evolving landscape of carbon tax and carbon credit initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional eager to make a tangible impact on environmental sustainability within the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in collecting and analyzing data related to the company's carbon emissions and environmental performance.
  • Support the identification of opportunities for energy efficiency and emission reductions across our operations.
  • Conduct research on best practices in carbon footprint reduction, carbon tax regulations, and carbon credit markets.
  • Help prepare reports and presentations on sustainability progress for internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with various departments to raise awareness about sustainability initiatives and encourage eco-friendly practices.
  • Learn about and contribute to our efforts to integrate UN 2030 SDGs into our business strategy, with a focus on relevant goals like SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and SDG 13 (Climate Action).
  • Participate in internal training sessions and workshops related to sustainability, environmental management, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

  • SGD Certification, Transventel Academy
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Sustainability, Environmental Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in environmental sustainability, climate change, and corporate social responsibility.
  • Basic understanding of concepts like carbon footprint, greenhouse gas emissions, and renewable energy.
  • Eagerness to learn about carbon tax policies and carbon credit mechanisms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
